The property is approached via a private drive leading off the end of a small residential cul de sac. The driveway leads in to a large parking area to the front of the house.
To one side of the house is a small lawned garden and beyond this, a beautiful walled garden complete with renovated greenhouse. The garden has been planted up by the current owners with a huge variety of plants including many quite rare species. The garden offers a riot of colour and, in the centre of it all there is a private area to sit and enjoy it.
To the opposite side of the house is a large courtyard area.
Within the grounds stands a fine timber art studio. Previously, the owners used this for running art courses. Internally, the studio space measures approx. 9.9m x 5.8m (32'6 x 19'). It has a wooden floor and is heated by an ornate multi-fuel stove which stands in one corner. The space lends itself to a variety of uses and it benefits from plenty of natural light.
To the rear of the studio stands a further timber building which consists of three areas. This is now used as a potting shed and garden store but could suit other uses.
To the rear of the house is a Workshop / Store area. This was once a passageway between the house and the former outbuildings, but this has been filled in (the dressing room sits above the workshop) and now offers a workshop or storage space approx. 4.2m x 2.45m (13'9 x 8') with power and water.
A further stone outbuilding to the side of this offers three useful, dry storage areas.
To the front of the house, beyond the parking area is a large expanse of grass which is generally mown by the onwers. In one corner of this is a large and productive poly-tunnel.
To the front of the poly-tunnel there is an area of wild flower meadow which is left largely untouched as this is home to a number of wild orchids.
On both sides of the driveway there is mature woodland. There is a further strip of woodland which lies at the other end of the property beyond the walled garden and the potting shed. This is a narow strip of mature wood which extends to perhaps 2 acres.
In total, the property extends to approx. 3.5 acres.
The current owners have considered developing some of the land in order to open a small nursery. There is room for further poly-tunnels and also room for raised beds etc. to provide lots of growing room.
Please note that the original stone outbuildings which belonged to the property have been converted into dwellings and are no longer owned by the property. The house is, these days, connected to these original outbuildings by virtue of the dressing room, thus the house is not fully detached.
